Just a few months ago, I was offered and happily accepted the position of Artistic Director for Reprise. I have never been so completely thrilled about any opportunity in my entire career. Ever since I performed in the first Reprise show, PROMISES, PROMISES, I believed that the organization had the ability to become a very significant part of the theater world here in Los Angeles. And that it has surely become. But I also knew that Reprise had untapped potential to become not only L.A.’s premiere center for musical theater, but a significant presence in the national theater scene, as well. And to that end, I have come aboard with huge hopes and enormous dreams.
This season, we took the first steps forward. Not only will did weoffer our first season of four musicals, rather than our standard three – but we premiered several new programs, as well. We are determined to make Reprise a name that stands for excitement, imagination and the highest artistic standards on any stage, anywhere.
