Reprise celebrates the greatest of America’s artistic legacies – Musical Theatre. Each year Reprise brings together an extraordinary collection of performers, directors, choreographers and designers to create an ongoing home for musical theatre in Los Angeles. We have consistently attracted among the finest performers in the musical theatre world, as well as the entertainment world, and our productions have garnered rave reviews, national attention and incredible audience appreciation.
Reprise was founded by Marcia Seligson, who served as Producing Artistic Director until 2005, and was dedicated to producing rarely revived, classic Broadway musicals. In the past ten years, we’ve revived the glorious musical creations of Irving Berlin, the Gershwins, Frank Loesser, Jule Styne, Kurt Weill, Bock & Harnick, Leonard Bernstein, Rodgers & Hart, Jerry Herman, Cy Coleman, Stephen Sondheim, the list goes on. We have since expanded our mission to include all musicals that deserve to be seen, either in their original form or with a new, fresh take.
Aside from our subscription series, we have also produced numerous special events including the 20th Anniversary Concert Production of SWEENEY TODD, HAIR and FOLLIES. We have also presented a wide array of one-night-only readings, concerts and benefits.
