MARTIN SHORT (Felix Ungar)

born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, is a veteran of theatre in Canada and on Broadway. Short appeared in the Broadway productions of Neil Simon and Cy Coleman’s Little Me (Tony Award, Outer Critics Circle Award), Neil Simon’s The Goodbye Girl (Tony Award nomination, Theater World Award, Outer Critics Circle Award), in the Encores! Series in Neil Simon’s Promises, Promises and in Fame Becomes Me.  In Los Angeles, he appeared in Lawrence Kasdan’s production of John Patrick Shanley’s Four Dogs and a Bone and Mel Brooks’ The Producers. Short began his theatrical career in the Toronto production of Godspell. In 1982, he joined the “SCTV Comedy Network” where his work garnered an Emmy Award. Short's ability as a comedic chameleon brought him to "Saturday Night Live,” where his standout performances included Ed Grimley, Jackie Rogers Jr., legendary songwriter Irving Cohen and lawyer Nathan Thurm. He co-wrote, produced and starred in three highly acclaimed television comedy specials: "Martin Short's Concert for the North Americas" (Ace Award); "I, Martin Short, Goes Hollywood" (Ace Award); and "The Show Formerly Known As The Martin Short Show” (Emmy Award). He co-starred in the miniseries “Merlin” (Emmy nomination) and “Alice in Wonderland” as the Mad Hatter. In the fall of 1999 he hosted the daily “The Martin Short Show” (nine Emmy nominations). From 2001-2003, Short co-wrote, produced and starred as star-interviewer extraordinaire Jiminy Glick in “Primetime Glick” (Emmy nomination). Short made the jump to the big screen in 1986 with Three Amigos and Innerspace. Among his other films are Three Fugitives, The Big Picture, Clifford, Father of the Bride (1 & 2), Mars Attacks and Jiminy Glick in La La Wood. In 1994, Short was awarded Canada’s highest civilian honor, The Order of Canada, for his contribution to Canadian culture and was inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame in June 2000. Mr. Short worships and adores his wife Nancy and their children Katherine, Oliver and Henry.

JASON ALEXANDER (Oscar Madison)

is proud to be serving as Artistic Director for Reprise and is delighted to be working with its wonderful staff and Board of Directors. Jason is probably best known for his 9 year, award–winning stint as George Costanza on the hit TV series, “Seinfeld.” However, those who know him only as George will be surprised to learn of his extensive background as an actor, director, producer, and writer. Besides “Seinfeld,” his television credits include: “Bob Patterson” (prod./co-creator); “Listen Up” (prod.); the TV films of Bye Bye Birdie, The Man Who Saved Christmas, Cinderella, and A Christmas Carol; guest appearances on “Newhart,” “Friends,” “Monk,” “Star Trek-Voyager,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and multiple episodes of the animated series “Duckman,” “Aladdin,” “Dilbert,” and “Dinosaurs.” His film credits include: Pretty Woman; White Palace; North; Dunston Checks In; Love, Valor, Compassion; Rocky and Bullwinkle, and Ira and Abby. Jason has starred on Broadway in the original companies of Merrily We Roll Along; The Rink; Broadway Bound; Accomplice; and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, for which he won the Tony, Outer Critics, and Drama Desk Awards as Best Actor in a Musical. He also authored the libretto of the show which received the Tony Award for Best Musical. On the L.A. stage, Jason has starred in Give ‘Em Hell; Harry; Defiled; the long-running hit of The Producers with Martin Short and the very first Reprise! production, Promises, Promises. Jason has directed in every medium: Television (“Seinfeld,” “Remember WENN,” “Campus Ladies,” “Everybody Hates Chris”); Film (For Better or Worse and Just Looking) and Stage (The God of Hell at the Geffen; Sunday In the Park With George and the newly adapted Damn Yankees at Reprise! and countless benefits). Jason produced the films, Agent Cody Banks and its sequel as well as the TV special “Ultimate Trek.” He has also authored the children’s book, Dad, Are You the Tooth Fairy? He has won the title of Parlour Magician of the Year at the prestigious Magic Castle and he is a noted player in the celebrity poker circuit. Jason resides in L.A. with his wife Daena and their children, Gabriel and Noah.

OLIVIA D'ABO (Gwendolyn Pigeon)

recently made her Broadway debut playing Gwendolyn Pigeon in the sold-out run of Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane’s The Odd Couple. She is probably best known as Karen Arnold, the older sister, in the Emmy Award-winning television show “The Wonder Years.” Other television credits include: “Eureka,” “Law and Order: Criminal Intent,” “The Single Guy,” “Party of Five,” “Spin City,” “Alias,” “3rd Rock from the Sun.” Her voice talents can be heard in the new George Lucas animated series “Clone Wars,” as Jane in Disney’s animated series “Tarzan,” Marvel Comics movies "The Avengers #1 and#2" and Tak in Nickelodeon’s “Invader ZIM.” Film credits include: Wayne’s World 2, Greedy, The Last Good Time, Conan the Destroyer, Velocity of Gary, The Big Green, A Texas Funeral, Live Nude Girls, It Had to Be You, 7 Girlfriends, Point of No Return, Spirit of 76,Beyond the Stars, The Mission to Kill, A Dream to Believe, Bullies and the independent film A Poor Kid’s Guide to Success. Her father, Michael d'Abo, is a well known songwriter, having written the songs “Build me up Buttercup” for the Foundations, “Handbags and Glad-rags” for Rod Stewart, and was the lead singer of the rock group Manfred Mann. Her own debut album, NOT TV TURKU, will be released later this year. Other theater credits include: Scenes from an Execution at the Mark Taper Form with Frank Langella and Juliet Stevenson, and the Los Angeles Theatre’s critically-acclaimed musical, It’s a Girl. She recently joined the L.A. based comedy group/school the “Groundlings.”

CLEAVANT DERRICKS (Vinnie)

created the role of James Thunder Early for Dreamgirls, receiving Tony and Drama Desk awards as well as the LA Drama Circle Award for vocal arrangements. Starring in Bob Fosse’s Broadway production Big Deal, Cleavant was nominated for Tony and Drama Desk awards as Best Actor. Other Broadway credits include: Revival of Hair, Vinette Carroll’s Your Arms Too Short to Box with God, as well as But Never Jam Today, and Brooklyn the Musical. He recently played the role of Applegate, the devil, in Reprise!’s adapted production of Damn  Yankees. He received the NAACP Theatre Award for Best Male Performance for his portrayal of “Horse” in The Full Monty national tour.  Cleavant was awarded the “Heroes and Legends Award” for Outstanding Achievement in Theatre, served as composer, musical director, and featured actor for the musical When Hell Freezes Over I’ll Skate, which aired as a PBS special, and starred in Cy Coleman’s Like Jazz at the Mark Taper Forum. Film roles include Moscow on the Hudson, The Slugger’s Wife, Offbeat, Carnival of Souls, Bluffing It and World Traveler.  TV series regular include “Sliders,” “Thea,” “Drexell’s Class,” “Good Sports,” and “Woops!”  Some TV guest appearances include “Touched by an Angel,” “Charmed,” “The Practice,” “The Bernie Mac Show,” “Cold Case,” and David E. Kelly’s “Wedding Bells.” 

WAYNE KNIGHT (Murray)

Though best known for his roles in television and film, such as Newman in "Seinfeld" and Nedry in Jurassic Park, Mr. Knight started in the theatre and began his Broadway career in 1979 with a three-year run in Gemini. He subsequently appeared in Mastergate, Art, and last season's Sweet Charity with Christina Applegate and Measure for Pleasure at the New York Shakespeare Festival. This past summer, Knight performed in The Front Page at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.  He has starred regularly in six television series, including his role as Officer Don in "3rd Rock from the Sun" and two sketch comedy series on Fox and Channel 4 in Britain. His numerous films include: JFK, Basic Instinct, To Die For, Rat Race, Dead Again, and Dirty Dancing as well as the animated features Toy Story 2, Tarzan, and Hercules. Recently completed work includes the independent features Throwing Stars and Forfeit (for which he received the Spirit Award from the California Independent Film Festival). Knight has just completed principal photography on The Punisher: War Zone for Lionsgate.

MICHAEL KOSTROFF (Speed)

is best known for his role as the unscrupulous gang lawyer, Maury Levy, on HBO’s acclaimed hit, The Wire, now in its fifth season. He’s also appeared on Life, Studio 60, The Closer, Veronica Mars, ER, West Wing, Boston Legal, and a host of other television shows, and co-stars in the upcoming Disney pilot, Sketchpad. Michael was in the original cast of the first national tour of The Producers, playing twelve roles a night and understudying the lead roles of Max Bialystock and Roger DeBris (which he performed opposite Mssrs. Alexander and Short at LA’s Pantages Theatre). He also toured as the evil innkeeper Thénardier in Les Misérables. His book, Letters from Backstage: The Adventures of a Touring Stage Actor (foreword by Jason Alexander), is a funny, behind-the-scenes chronicle of his time on the road. It’s available at Amazon.com. Regionally, he’s played Nathan in Guys and Dolls, Herbie in Gypsy¸ Tateh in Ragtime, Milt in Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Dimas in Triumph of Love, and Pseudolous in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and he’ll play Marryin’ Sam in Reprise’s upcoming Lil’ Abner. Most impressively, he’s the voice of that talking beaver in the Rozerum commercials.

PATRICK WARBURTON (Roy)

played “Puddy,” the laconic, enigmatic, quirky Saab salesman and Elaine’s boyfriend on the NBC comedy “Seinfeld.” Currently, Warburton stars in the hit CBS comedy “Rules of Engagement” with David Spade, Oliver Hudson and Megyn Price. His voice can be heard in the UPN animated series “Game Over,” in the animated adult series “The Venture Brothers,” Disney’s “Kim Possible,” “Joe” on Fox’s popular animated series “Family Guy,” and in Disney’s animated Saturday morning TV series “Buzz Lightyear.” Warburton’s voice graced the big screen in Shrek, the Disney animated film as Kronk in The Emperor’s New Groove, Kronk’s New Groove, and The Emperor’s New School. He is in the DreamWorks animated feature Bee Movie, alongside the voices of such stars as Jerry Seinfeld, Renée Zellweger, Uma Thurman and Oprah Winfrey. Film credits include: Disney’s live-action motion picture comedy Underdog and the wolf in Hoodwinked. He has paired up with Tim Allen in Big Trouble and Joe Somebody, and also appeared in Men In Black 2. Warburton starred in The Woman Chaser, which received critical acclaim at the prestigious New York Film Festival and The Sundance Film Festival, and opposite Sam Neill in The Dish, an Australian production about the first man on the moon. Warburton appeared in the independent film The Civilization of Maxwell Bright, in which he stars as a vicious and self-destructive anti-hero who desperately needs to save his soul. The film has already won numerous festival awards in which Warburton captured Best Actor at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, New York VisionFest, and the Boulder International Film Festival. A native Californian, Patrick grew up in Huntington Beach and currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and four children.

RACHEL YORK (Cecily Pigeon)

is a dynamic and versatile actress, singer, dancer, and comedienne. She is best known for her critically-acclaimed Broadway performances in City of Angels, Les Misérables, Victor/Victoria (Drama Desk Award) with Dame Julie Andrews, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Sly Fox with Richard Dreyfuss, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels co-starring Jonathan Pryce. Additionally, Ms. York has starred in the national tour of Camelot opposite Michael York, Putting It Together (Drama Desk Nomination) also with Julie Andrews, the national and London tours of Kiss Me, Kate (Helen Hayes Nomination), Dessa Rose at the Lincoln Center Theater (Drama Desk Nomination), Anything Goes (Ovation Nomination) for Reprise! and Crucifer of Blood with Billy Crudup. Her film credits include One Fine Day, Billy Bathgate, Killer Instinct, Second Honeymoon, Au Pair II, and her courageous portrayal of Lucille Ball in the CBS made for television movie, Lucy. Ms. York has also appeared on Hannah Montana, Frasier, Reba, Numb3rs, Close to Home, Arli$$, Spin City, The Naked Truth and Diagnosis Murder.
