PAMELA BLAIR (Mitzi)

Pam’s New York theatre credits include—Broadway: A Few Good Men, The Nerd, Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones, The King of Hearts, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and the original “Tits and Ass” in A Chorus Line.  Her Off Broadway credits are A Chorus Line, where she originated the role of Val, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, for which she won a Drama Desk Nomination, Michael Weller’s Split, Mike Nichols’ production of Double Feature at The Long Wharf Theater, Hedy LaRue in the National Tour of How to Succeed in Business with Ralph Macchio, and numerous productions at The Hartford Center Stage.  Pam’s film work includes Before and After with Meryl Streep and Liam Neeson, Mighty Aphrodite with Woody Allen, Me and Veronica with Michael O’Keefe, Jon Huston’s Annie, Beavis and Butthead Do America!, and Angelo for The American Film Institute.  Television credits includes Judging Amy, Sabrina, Cosby Mysteries, Law & Order, The Cosby Show, Molly Dodd, All My Children (where she received an Emmy nomination), Loving, and Svengali with Jodie Foster.  Live radio broadcasts include Six Degrees of Separation with Alan Alda and Swoosie Kurtz.  Pam was trained in New York by Uta Hagen.

SUSANNE BLAKESLEE (Dora)

is primarily known to Los Angeles audiences for her various roles in the long-running hit Forbidden Hollywood, including Marlene Dietrich, Barbra Streisand, Mia Farrow, Doris Day and Julie Andrews.  Prior to that, Susanne originated several editions of Forbidden Broadway in New York, Los Angeles and Washington D.C., and enjoyed many appearances Off Broadway, including Amphigorey, Side by Side by Sondheim, and Bittersuite, as well as Fade Out, Fade In at York Theatre’s Musicals in Mufti.  She toured nationally as Guenevere in Camelot, and appeared regionally in productions of Lemon Sky, Jerry’s Girls, My Fair Lady, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, A Grand Night For Singing and All in the Tming, among others.  Suanne’s voice has been featured in many cartoon shorts, CD roms and series, including Casper, Angry Beavers and Superman, and she provides Disney with the voices of Cruella De Vil and Cinderella’ Stepmother.  In addition, Susanne can be heard on the original cast recordings of Forbidden Hollywood and Forbidden Broadway, Volume 3.  Her television appearances include Frasier, Caroline in the City, The Home Court, All My Children and General Hospital. 

TONY DANZA (Fiorello)

most recently received critical acclaim as Rocky the Bartender in the Broadway revival of The Iceman Cometh, and in the Tony-Award wining revival of A View From the Bridge.  These triumphs came on the heels of his star turn in Billy Friedkin’s 12 Angry Men opposite Jack Lemmon and George C. Scott.  Mr. Danza also recently appeared in David E. Kelly’s The Practice in a recurring role.  He has performed his one man song-and-dance show across the country to critical acclaim and standing-room-only audiences.  However, he is perhaps best known for his work on the classic television series’ Taxi and Who’s the Boss?  His other credits include the film Angels in the Outfield and Off Broadway’s Wrong Turn at Lungfish for which he received an Outer Critics’ Circle Award nomination. 

MIKE HAGERTY (Floyd)

is a native of Chicago.  He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and has both performed and directed at Chicago’s Second City.  Mr. Hagerty has appeared in over 25 motion pictures and countless television programs.  Some of his feature films are Austin Powers II, Inspector Gadget, Wayne’s World, Speed 2, Dick Tracy, Red Heat and Nothing in Common.  On television he has a recurring role as Mr. Treeger, the superintendent on Friends.  He has also guest starred on Seinfeld, Ally McBeal, The Practice, Cheers, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Wonder Years, Murphy Brown, Married…With Children, and Civil Wars, among many others.  He also appeared as a regular cast member on The George Carlin Show, The Building, and Home Court.  He currently resides in Los Angeles.

ROY ORBACH (Morris)

STAGE: Amos Hart in the 1st National Tour of Chicago (1997 Jeff Award; 1997 Theatre La/Ovation nomination); Originated the role of Ira Stone on Broadway in Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and subsequently starred as Max Prince in the Chicago premiere (1994 Jeff nomination), in the National Tour and at A Contemporary Theatre in Seattle (which he also directed); Martin in The Job, WPA; Sam in Mrs. Dally Has a Lover, Westbeth (opposite Judith Ivey); Teterev in Gorky’s Philistines, Perr St.; Harry Chapin: Lies and Legends, Village Gate (also Apollo Theatre Center, Chicago—original cast album, and Pasadena Playhouse/Beverly Canon [1988 L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award, Best Ensemble Performance]); Garfinkle in Other People’s Money (Fulton Opera House, PA); He in Lisa Loomer’s  Accelerando, and Al in Road to Nirvana (L.A. Weekly Award, Best Actor, 1991), both directed by Ron Sossi, Odyssey Theatre Ensemble.  FILM: Clueless, Sibling Rivarly, Erotique, and Love Crimes.  TELEVISION: Numerous guest star appearances including Law and Order, Touched By an Angel, Caroline in the City, Family Matters (recurring), Platypus Man (series regular) and Safe Harbor (pilot).  Ron was honored for his work on Jim McGrath’s The Ellis Jump with the Theatre LA/Ovation Award as Best Director, 1996.

AMY PIETZ (Marie)

is absolutely thrilled to be making her professional musical theatre debut in FIORELLO!  For the past four seasons, Amy has appeared as Annie on the NBC sitcom Caroline in the City.  This garnered her a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series at the 1999 SAG Awards.  She has also appeared in various television and feature films.  Amy’s first professional roles were at the Steppenwolf Theatre Co., the Organic Theatre, and the Next Theatre in Chicago, where she received her BFA in Acting at the Theatre School of DePaul University.  She would like to thank her singing coach and friend Eric Vetro for all his knowledge and support. 

BRIAN STEPANEK (Neil)

recently moved to Los Angeles from Chicago where he appeared as Bill Simpson in Me and My Girl at Drury Lane Theatre for which he received the Joseph Jefferson Award.  Other roles include Robert in Company at Pegasus Players, Cornelius in Hello, Dolly! at Drury Lane Theatre, Lee Atwater in Fixin’ to Die (one-man show) at Pegasus Players, the Proprietor in Assassins at Appletree Theatre, and the title role in Herringbone at The Body Politic Theatre.  TV credits include appearances on Early Edition, Cupid, and Turks.  Thanks to Family and Parisa.

JENNIFER WESTFELDT (Thea)

starred in the Fox series Holding the Baby last season, and was a series regular on the first season of Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place on ABC.  Other television credits include an upcoming episode of David E. Kelley’s Snoops.  Her Off Broadway and Regional credits include Luisa in The Fantasticks (Sullivan Street Theatre), Wendy in the Trevor Nunn/John Caird adaptation of Peter Pan (Denver Center Theatre Company), Johanna in Sweeney Todd (Pittsburgh Public Theatre), Philia in A Funny Thing…Forum (Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), Julie Jordan in Carousel (Candlewood Playhouse), Raina in Arms and the Man (The Director’s Company), and the world premiere of Richard Foreman’s Young Goodman Brown  (La Mama E.T.C.).  Recently, she co-wrote and co-starred with Heather Jurgensen in Lipschtick, a play which the two have since adapted to screen and will co-star in early next year.  Jennifer is a Yale graduate.  She maintains a residence in both New York and Los Angeles.

LENNY WOLPE (Ben)

appeared in last season’s REPRISE! production of Of Thee I Sing.  He recently appeared as Uncle Max opposite Richard Chamberlain in the Broadway revival of The Sound of Music.  This summer Lenny was Sancho opposite Robert Goulet in Man of La Mancha.  Broadway: Copperfield, Onward Victoria, Into the Light.  Off Broadway: Mayor (creating the title role of Hizzoner Ed Koch), Brownstone, Company, The Wonder Years.  National Tours: South Pacific (Billis), Forum (Hysterium), Guys and Dolls (Nathan).  California audiences have seen Lenny as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof (Alex Theatre), Radio Gals (Pasadena Playhouse—Dramalogue award), Company, State Fair (Long Beach Civic Light Opera).  Lenny is an associate artist of The Blank Theatre Company where he appeared in Breaking the Code, Loot and The Cradle Will Rock.  Original cast recordings: Radio Gals, Mayor, Onward Victoria, The Cradle Will Rock.  Television: Series regular: Baby Talk.  Recurring: Something So Right, L.A. EDDIE DRISCOLL (Frank Scarpini/Card Player/Ensemble/Understudy Floyd)

is a veteran of numerous auditions for film, television and theatre.  He is currently working on a Crossword Puzzle and would like to thank the L.A. Department of Corrections for letting him do this as part of his Work-Release program.  Musical Projects include lead roles in Mephisto, Rockne and Dorian Gray.  Recent film roles include Pros and Cons and Sparkle and Charm.  Television credits include Tracy Takes On and David Mamet’s Lansky for HBO.

JOSHUA FINKEL (Mr. Zappatella/Card Player/Ensemble/Understudy Fiorello)

After ten years on New York’s stages, Joshua is “like totally psyched” to be home in Los Angeles to puruse theatre for TV money—The Sitcom.  He is currently seeking theatrical representation.  Joshua starred as Molina, the window dresser in Kiss of the Spider Woman on Broadway with Chita Rivera and Vanessa Williams.  In Los Angeles, Joshua appeared as Thenardier in Les Miserables at the Shubert.  On regional stages, Joshua starred as Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, Birdie Bowers in Tera Nova, and Juror #4 in Twelve Angry Men.  Internationally, Mr. Finkel has performed The Good Person of Setzuan in Germany, and Clytemnestra with the Suzuki Company of Toga in Japan.  Favorite roles include Khlestakov in The Inspector General, Edmund in King Lear, Macheath in The Threepenny Opera, Jigger in Carousel, El Gallo in The Fantasticks, Paul in A Chorus Line, Cosmo Brown in Singin in the Rain, the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance, and the title role in Hamlet.  Television credits include Caroline in the City, The Tony Awards, The Kennedy Center Honors, and American Bandstand(!).  Possessing the body of “Prince Charming,” Joshua was the live action model for Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid.

DANIEL GUZMAN (Mr. Lopez/Card Player/Ensemble/Understudy Neil)

is returning to REPRISE! after originating the role of Valenti in Wonderful Town two seasons ago and which has just completed its third incarnation, this time for San Gabriel Valley Civic and The Alex Theatre prior to its Broadway run.  Phantom, Theatre League; Bernardo in West Side Story, Arvada Center, Denver; Blame it on the Movies, Pasadena Playhouse and La Mirada; Both Barrels at Luna Park (Los Angeles Times Pick of the Week); Dr. Carrasco in Man of La Mancha, South Bay CLO.  Broadway: Cyrano: The Musical.  National Tours: Les Miserables.  Premiered in Moscow and Germany as Rum Tum Tugger in Cats, directed by Gillian Lynne and Andrew Lloyd Webber.  Sir Sagramore in Theatre League’s Camelot; Lt. Hernandez in Twist of Fate, Tiffany Theatre, Los Angeles; the Festival of New Musicals, New York; Guys and Dolls, Desert Inn, Las Vegas, understudied Jack Jones as Sky Masterson; two workshops of the Broadway bound Pilgrim; premiered as Dracula in Possessed: The Dracula Musical at Jeff Daniels’ Purple Rose Theatre; Lt. Munoz in City of Angels.  Television: Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Beverly Hills 90210, Diagnosis: Murder, Pacific Palisades, Melrose Place, Crusade, the movie of the week Heatwave, and upcoming national commercials for Chevrolet and Montgomery Ward.  Love to Angel Melissa. 

JULIE JANNEY (Sophie/Ensemble/Understudy Dora)

just finished playing Grace Tranfield in Shaw’s The Philanderer at South Coast Repertory.  Also, this year, she was in the features Four Faces directed by Ted Post, and both Music of the Heart and Scream 3 directed by Wes Craven.  Prior to that she toured the US and London with Jerry Lewis in Damn Yankees.  She has performed her own concert in New York and Connecticut and with her old girl group, The Stienettes, was in Robert Altman’s Popeye and Health (for which they co-wrote the score).  She has appeared on television’s Ellen, Nightline, and Nickelodeon.  She has performed extensively Off Broadway and regionally at La Mama, Playwrights Horizons, The Village Gate, Long Wharf, the White Barn, city Center, and Carnegie Hall.  Julie is also a certified Personal Trainer and has, on occasion, taught Jazz and Tap to children and adults who wanted to trip the light fantastic. 

CAROL KLINE (Mrs. Pomerantz)

recently performed Mrs. Mooney in Sweeney Todd for REPRISE! at the Ahmanson, and principal roles in Musical Theatre Guild’s Bells are Ringing, I Remember Mama, Nine, and Louisiana Purchase at the Pasadena Playhouse.  She has appeared in regional theatres all over the country including Hartford Stage, The Guthrie, ACT San Francisco, South Coast Repertory, the Mark Taper Form, San Francisco and Santa Fe Opera Companies, and Civic Light Operas such as Pittsburgh’s Benedum as Jack’s Mother in Into the Woods, and last year as Widow Corney in Theatre League’s tour of Oliver.  Carol's work was awarded the Distinguished Artist Award of the Los Angeles Music Center in 1987 for her work with the Mark Taper Forum.  She recorded Pardon My English and Sophisticated Ladies for the Gershwin Foundation and has been honored to perform with the annual S.T.A.G.E. AIDS Benefit in Los Angeles.  Film and Television include Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Showtime’s Vanishing America, Melrose Place, ER, 3rd Rock From the Sun, NYPD Blue, and stars in an Academy Award nominated short film, Splinter, now being shown in film festivals.  Married to art director Marty Kline, her finest production to date is her beautiful 13 year old daughter, Sara Ann.

GEORGE McDANIEL (Senator/Dealer/Ensemble/Understudy Ben)

Southern California audiences have seen George recently as Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady for Musical Theatre West and in the Livent productions of Show Boat at the Ahmanson and Ragtime at the Shubert.  Other local appearances include Putting it Together and Bandido at the Mark Taper Forum, The Threepeny Opera for REPRISE!, The Cocktail Hour and The King and I.  George launched his professional career at the legendary Barn Theatre in Augusta, Michigan as The Boy in The Fantasticks, he subsequently appeared in such musicals as Funny Girl, on a Clear Day…, and Man of La Mancha.  He toured opposite Lauren Bacall and Eleanor Parker in the National Tour of Applause.  Appearances in the Center Theatre Group’s Macbeth, Cyrano, Long Day’s Journey followed.  New York lured him for a season at BAM Theatre Company where he appeared with Rene Auberjonois and Richard Dreyfuss in Julius Caesar.  A lengthy stint as Dr. Jordan Barr on Days of Our Lives began a series of more than fifty guest-star and film performances in such shows as ER, The West Wing, and Lionheart.  George won a Dramalogue Award for his performance as Shannon in Night of the Iguana.  He is the proud father of Shannon, Marshall and Kellen.

STEFANIE MORSE (Bella/Ensemble/Understudy Thea & Marie)

is a native of Los Angeles, and is proud to come home to the Freud Playhouse stage.  As an alumni of UCLA’s Theater Arts Department, she played leading roles in such shows as A Chorus Line, A Little Night Music, and Me and Juliet.  Stefanie recently returned from Texas, where she played Dawn in Austin Musical Theater’s production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.  Also this year, she played Sandy in Grease at Santa Barbara CLO, and was featured in A Grand Night For Singing at the Long Beach Center Theatre.  Other regional credits include 42nd Street, Starlight Express (Las Vegas), Sayonara, Baby, West Side Story, and the World Premiere of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s State Fair.  Internationally, Stefanie played Diana Morales in the 1995/96 European Tour of A Chorus Line, and she has sailed the world as the lead vocalist for Crystal Cruises.

DIANE VINCENT (Lena/Ensemble/Understudy Mitzi)

was most recently seen as Hedy LaRue in How to Succeed in Business at the award winning Colony Theatre.  She has received Drama-Logue Awards for her portrayals of Lina Lamont in Singin’ in the Rain and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls.  Other favorite roles include Sugar in Some Like It Hot, Doatsy Mae in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Bonnie in Anything Goes, Portia in Cinderella, Flora in No, No Nanette, Gladys Bumps in Pal Joey,  Princess Diana in Chuck and Di: The Tabloid Musical, multiple characters in Six Women with Brain Death . . .,  and the world premiere of From the Top: Starring Carol Burnett.  On the comedy circuit, Diane has performed her original sketch comedy at The Mirage in Las Vegas, The Nuggett in Reno, The Ice House, The Improv, The Comedy Store, as well as co-starring in the critically acclaimed production of Tonna & Vincent: Just Add Water. Television appearances include Weird Science, Murphy Brown, Designing Women, L.A. Law, Highway to Heaven, Knot’s Landing, and Starman.  Diane also appears as “Lucy” throughout the country, as well as regular appearances at Universal Studios, Hollywood.
