IAN ABERCROMBIE (Sir Francis Beekman/Mr. Esmond)

London born and bred, has been working internationally in theatre, film and television since 1955.  Films include: Wild Wild West, Mousehunt, Lost World, Army of Darkness, Warlock, Puppetmaster III, Firewalker, Clean Slate, Zandalee, Sextette, Young Frankenstein, The Molly Maguires, They Shoot Horses, Don't They?, Von Ryan's Express.  Among his 200 guest starring roles on television:  State of Grace, Crossing Jordan, Star Trek: Voyager, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, G vs E, Touched by an Angel, NewsRadio, Babylon 5, Murphy Brown, Murder She Wrote, Twin Peaks, La Law, The Nanny, Northern Exposure, Dynasty, and a recurring role on Seinfeld as Elaine's eccentric boss, Mr. Pitt.  Theatre appearances in Europe, New York, Summer Stock, Regional, Touring and Los Angeles have included:  Hamlet, Stalag 17, Separate Tables, As You Like It, The Way of The World, Private Lives, Misalliance, The Good Doctor, Cause Celebre, The Wrong Box, Journey's End, The Cocktail Party, Bent, Mary Stuart, Crucifer Of Blood, The Vortex, Lettuce & Lovage, Out Of Order and many others.  He received awards for his work in Sweet Prince with Keir Dullea, Teeth N’ Smiles, A Doll’s House with Linda Purl and The Arcata Promise opposite Anthony Hopkins, and he received high acclaim for the one-man show, Jean Cocteau-A Mirror Image.  A highlight of his career was playing Alfie Doolittle in My Fair Lady.

RYAN L. BALL (Ensemble)

Appearing with REPRISE! for the first time, Ryan brings a wealth of experience in musical theatre with him.  Recently moving out here with his wife Michelle, Ryan has performed as Finch in H2$, Oscar in Sweet Charity, Billy in Anything Goes, and Tommy in Brigadoon.  He has also performed in numerous revue shows around the world as a featured singer and dancer.  In his spare time he enjoys golfing and basketball, as well as spending time with his wonderful wife.  He lifts all thanks to God for the wonderful blessings afforded him so far.

TOM BEYER (Gus Esmond)

Tom won an Ovation Award for his portrayal of Fuzzy Stone in The Cider House Rules, directed by Tom Hulce at the Mark Taper Forum.  Roger Rees directed him as the Welsh priest in The Merry Wives of Windsor at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, and Jillian Armanente directed him as a 12-year-old French girl in the award-winning Circle X production of In Flagrante Gothicto.  Born and raised in New York, he spawned among Seattle's numerous theatre companies:  Seattle Rep, Seattle Shakespeare Festival, Intiman, Seattle Children's Theatre, Alice B. Theatre (where he did his last big musical, playing Bobby in Company), and Book-It Repertory (where he was a company member for three years).  He produced and acted in the Seattle production of Holy Days by Sally Nemeth - one of the most beautiful plays he's ever done.  After Seattle, he had a brief stint in his New York homeland, but was quickly lured to L.A.  You might have seen him on C.S.I., Angel, Strong Medicine, Frasier, Crossing Jordan, Sabrina, or S Club 7.  He studies Kenpo Karate, and is presently training for a marathon.

CELINA CARVAJAL (Ensemble/Understudy Dorothy)

Celina Carvajal was born and raised in San Francisco to a famous dancing family.  At the age of three she was already performing with her family and sang at Candlestick Stadium for the Pope in 1987.  At age 17 she auditioned for Cats in San Francisco.  Three months later they called her to join the Fourth National Touring Company as a swing.  Within two months she was offered the role of Demeter and a year later joined the Broadway Company as one of the youngest Demeters ever.  In New York she participated in the Broadway charity fund raisers: the Easter Bonnet, Broadway Bares and Gypsy of the Year.  Since then she performed in On A Clear Day with Kristin Chenoweth at the Encore Series in New York and was an original member of the touring company of Annie Get Your Gun, where she was the understudy to Marilu Henner and Crystal Barnard.  "Thank you to Steven Simon, Love you doll, and Marilu Henner for inspiring me to move to LA."

Michelle is delighted to be onstage with REPRISE! for the first time.  Michelle has been blessed enough to travel the world doing what she loves.  She has been a featured singer and dancer in numerous shows around the country and has also performed in such beloved musicals as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Music Man and The Most Happy Fella.  In her off time she enjoys working out, teaching dance and aerobics, and spending time with her husband, Ryan.  She would like to thank God, her family, and her husband Ryan for all of their love and support.

BRIANNA HAYNES (Ensemble)

Brianna Haynes is a native of California who started her career as a ballerina.  She has performed with the Pennsylvania Ballet, Los Angeles Classical Ballet, and toured the U.S., Japan and Taiwan as a principal dancer with the State Street Ballet in Santa Barbara.  She then began to pursue her love of singing and acting, performing in musicals and working as a recording artist.  Brianna’s recent theatre credits include A Chorus Line and the European tour of Fame.  She has performed in many live stage shows, such as The Elvira Show and the E-3 World Game Expo at the L.A. Convention Center.  She has also appeared in several national commercials and music videos, performed at the MTV Movie Awards and The Jay Leno Show, and is currently excited about working on her solo recording project.  “First and foremost, I would like to thank God for always giving me strength, my family and friends for all your incredible support, and my boyfriend, Todd, for adding so much joy to my life!  Also, I would like to give a special thanks to everyone at REPRISE! for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful show!”

KIMBERLY HOEY (Ensemble)

Kimberly is thrilled to be making her REPRISE! debut in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.  Some of her Musical Theater credits include Buddy... the Buddy Holly Story (Apollo Theater, Chicago), West Side Story (Drury Lane Theater, Chicago), It’s Delightful, It’s Delovely, It’s Cole Porter (St Louis MUNY Opera) and Ado Annie in Oklahoma (Summer Showbiz, St. Louis).  She received a B.A. in Theater Performance and Dance at SIU where she was nominated for the Irene Ryan Award for the role of Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream and for Masha in The Seagull.  Some of her Regional credits include The 5th of July, The Boys Next Door and The Waltz of the Toreadors.  Since moving to L.A. she has worked regularly as a singer, dancer, actor and model in music videos, fashion shows, industrial videos and live industrials.  She also performed as a backup singer and dancer for the international Nickelodeon All That Tour.  She would like to thank all her agents at KSA, Mom & Dad, and John for all of their support and love.

ROD KELLER (Robert Lemanteur/Ensemble)

was first seen by REPRISE! audiences as Woof in the hit production of Hair at the Wadsworth theatre.  He comes directly from the acclaimed production of Big River at Deaf West theatre, directed by Jeff Calhoun, where he was seen as the voice of Tom Sawyer, and several others roles including Ben Rogers, one of the Robinson twins and Lafe the Uni-brow.  He has traveled all over Europe in the tours of West Side Story (Baby John) and Grease (Doody) and can be heard on that same cast recording as well as the single, "You're the One That I Want."  Thanks to family and friends for always laughing!

KIMBERLY LYON (Gloria Stark, Understudy Lorelei)

Kimberly is delighted to be making her REPRISE! debut.  Kimberly's Broadway and National credits include Neil Simon's Revival of Little Me starring Martin Short, Mona in the Los Angeles Company of Chicago, Norma Cassidy u/s in Victor Victoria starring Julie Andrews and Liza Minnelli, The Will Rogers Follies starring Larry Gatlin and Neil Simon's Promises, Promises also starring Martin Short at City Centre Encores.  Her favorite roles regionally include Lola in Damn Yankees, Velma in West Side Story and most recently Pinky Tuscadero in Happy Days The Musical written and directed by Garry Marshall.  Kimberly has performed as a back up singer and dancer for Tony Danza LIVE for the past three years.  Her film and television appearances include Not Another Teen Movie, Boys and Girls, What Women Want, Beautiful, Disney's Annie, Providence, As The World Turns, Guiding Light and Passions.  When she is not performing, Kimberly teaches musical theater dance across the United States and Canada and is an accomplished scuba diver.  She thanks you for supporting the arts.  Shameless self-promotion at www.kimberlylyon.com.

JAMES PATRIC MORAN (Ensemble)

Film/Television credits include Chris in Not Even the Trees, Nikki, Mad-TV, Port Charles, General Hospital, Scent of a Woman and Malcolm X.  Broadway / Off-Broadway / National tour credits include Fred Casely in the Tony Award winning revival of Chicago, Riff in West Side Story, Bobby in Chorus Line, Carter Walt in The Benevolent Bath and Phil in Destined Blessings.  Regional Theater credits include Young Buddy in Sondheim’s Follies, Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly! and Conrad in Ordinary People.  He is extremely happy to return to the REPRISE! family, where he was last seen spreading the love in Hair as JP and also understudied the role of Claude.  Special thanks to everyone at Marsh Entertainment and EWCR.  Mom, this one’s for you.  I love you!

ANDREW PALERMO (Ensemble)

Most recently originated the role of Tommy Keeler in the Broadway Revival of Annie Get Your Gun.  Other Broadway and touring credits include How to Succeed... and West Side Story.  Andrew was a part of the star-studded presentation of Cole Porter's Jubilee at Carnegie Hall.  Film credits include roles in The Next Big Thing, The World According to Emma, The Barrista and Stripped.  Andrew has performed regionally in West Side Story, Hello Dolly, South Pacific, The Rink, Cotton Patch Gospel, Confetti, Prank, Man of La Mancha, A Funny Thing... Forum, and others.  Andrew holds a BFA from the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music, and is a graduate of the Rochester School of the Arts.  Presently, Andrew is teaching dance at the Millennium Dance Complex in the NO HO arts district.  His choreography has taken him across the country and is currently being performed nationwide.  Andrew will soon be featured in a jazz instructional video through Millennium Dance Complex.  Andrew is the co-creator of The Morning Show, a sketch comedy show soon to be presented in LA.

HUGH PANARO (Henry Spofford)

is currently performing as one of the Three Broadway Tenors.  He received an L.A. Ovation Award nomination for his performance as Kenneth in Call Me Madam for REPRISE!  He made his Los Angeles debut in the title role in Martin Guerre at the Ahmanson Theatre and was the Phantom in Broadway’s The Phantom of the Opera.  Also, on Broadway, Hugh created the roles of Buddy in Side Show and Julian in Jule Styne’s The Red Shoes.  Hugh also performed with Mr. Styne at the piano on The Broadway Hour, one of the great composer’s last performances before his death.  On Broadway, Hugh was Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera (1991– 92) and in Les Miserables he was Marius (the role he originated in the first national company).  He made his West End debut in Harold Prince’s award winning Show Boat as Ravenal, which he played on Broadway and in Toronto.  Hugh also created the role of Jonathan in Alan Menken/Tim Rice’s King David and was Tom Martin in Sweet Adeline at City Center’s Encores!  Film:  Broadway Damage.  Recordings:  Jerome Kern Treasury, Side Show (original cast recording), The Prince of Egypt, Victor Herbert’s Babes in Toyland and The Lady of the Slipper.

LAUREN PERSICO (Ensemble)

is happy to be returning here to the Freud Playhouse after appearing in last season's hits, Strike Up The Band, starring Charles Nelson Reilly, Mack and Mabel, starring Douglas Sills, Jane Krakowski and Donna McKechnie, and Call Me Madam, starring Karen Morrow and Michael Nouri.  Other credits include the national tour of West Side Story, the world premier of Lord of Light, Can Can and Peter Pan at the Lawrence Welk Resort, Carousel and 42nd Street at the Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum at the Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera, Brigadoon at the San Bernadino Civic Light Opera as well as numerous other productions around the country.  Lauren's versatility as a performer has enabled her to travel all over the US, Europe, Africa and Asia with cruise lines, Disney, magic productions, the USO and dance companies.  In addition to performing, Lauren also enjoys helping people stay healthy with her work as a fitness trainer.  Enjoy the show!

VALARIE PETTIFORD (Dorothy Shaw)

has enjoyed a remarkable stage, film and television culminating in her Tony and Outer Critic nominated Broadway performance in Fosse (Dora Mayor Moore and Drama League Award).  Other Broadway and national tour credits include Chicago (London), Dancin’, Big Deal, Grind, Sophisticated Ladies, West Side Story and Showboat directed by Hal Prince (Vancouver Sun Readers Choice Award, Robbie Award, NAACP Theatre Award and the LA Ovation Award nomination).  Her regional theatre credits include She Stoops To Conquer (Cincinnati Playhouse), Summer and Smoke (Yale Repertory) and Sarah and Abraham (Actors Theatre of Louisville).  Valarie has guested on X-Files, Walker, Texas Ranger, Sliders, The Sentinel, Silk Stalkings, Saturday Night Live and was seen for three years on One Life To Live creating the character of Sheila Price.  Her most recent appearance include The Division, Any Day Now, Jack & Jill, Sabrina, State of Grace and Frasier.  Recurring roles include Honey I Shrunk The Kids, Fame LA and Another World.  Film includes Glitter, Paris, Another You, The Wiz, Cotton Club and currently Like Mike.  Recently Valarie completed two successful appearances at the Gardenia Room.  Thank you David Galligan for suggesting me for this role and for all your love and support.

ALICE RIPLEY (Lorelei Lee)

Alice is one of the most respected and especially versatile actresses working on Broadway today.  From Molly Ivors in the groundbreaking and Tony Award winning musical play, James Joyce’s The Dead, to Janet Weiss in The Rocky Horror Show (RCA/Victor), her list of varied roles during her ten year career on Broadway is topped by Tony and Drama Desk nominations for her critically acclaimed performance as Violet Hilton in the cult hit, SideShow (Sony Classical).  She created the Broadway roles of Betty Schaefer in Sunset Boulevard, the Specialist’s Assistant in The Who’s Tommy (RCA Records) and Bathsheba in King David, as well as having a long stay at the Imperial Theatre as Fantine in Les Miserables.  Her two most notable recordings are Duets and Unsuspecting Hearts (Fynsworth Alley), teaming up on both with her Side Show companion, Emily Skinner.  In the spring of 2002, Alice will be performing the role of Amy in Company as part of the Kennedy Center’s celebration of Stephen Sondheim.  Alice is a performing songwriter, having the thrill of opening for Leon Russell in 2001.  She recently released her debut solo album, Everything’s Fine.  Please visit AliceRipley.net for more information.

LANCE ROBERTS (Coles/Ensemble)

Lance most recently created the role of Ugly in the West Coast premiere of Honk! in Los Angeles.  Prior to that he was in the Boston company of I Love You, You’re Perfect... Now Change, a show which he originated in Los Angeles and on the National Tour.  Other L.A. credits include the original companies of Cats, Get Happy and The All Night Strut, as well as several plays at the Mark Taper Forum et al.  Lance has appeared on Broadway and across the nation in Forbidden Hollywood (Original NY cast), The First, The Me Nobody Knows (revival), Five Guys Named Moe, I’m Not Rappoport, Driving Miss Daisy, Dreamgirls (Best Actor nomination, Chicago), Sweet & Hot, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Joseph... Dreamcoat, America! at Radio City, March of the Falsettos, They’re Playing Our Song and he has done seven companies of The All Night Strut, including the PBS-TV special.  On Television, Lance has appeared in several commercials from Bud Lite to Downey and over 25 guest star spots from Knots Landing to The Drew Carey Show.  He also created and stars in two touring shows, the Latin-Caribbean musical revue, SOULSA!, featuring a tribute to Harry Belafonte and The Wizard of Arlen, a tribute to the composer of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “One For My Baby,” and “Stormy Weather."

JEFFREY SCHECTER (Louis Lemanteur/Ensemble)

A native New Yorker is thrilled to be in this production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.  A huge fan of Marilyn Monroe, it’s about time they worked together.  Jeff moved to L.A. in 1995 to perform in the L.A. Premiere of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.  Although he covered every role in the kitchen sink, it is the role of Lefou that took him back to Broadway.  His B’way debut was in the 1990’s revival of Guys and Dolls.  Jeff has been actively pursuing a TV/Film career in L.A. and has been seen in several TV shows and commercials.  It was working with Director Ron Howard for 4 months on Ed TV that is his personal highlight to date.  Other credits include Ragtime (L.A.), West Side Story (Baby John), Hello Dolly (Barnaby) and starring in the short film, The Tower of Babble.  Love to family and friends.  Enjoy!

ABE SYLVIA (Coles/Ensemble/Assistant Choreographer/Understudy Henry)

After appearing as the Extremely Friendly Cherokee Indian in Mel Brooks and Susan Stroman’s The Producers, Abe returns to REPRISE! where last season found him in Call Me Madam and as Douglas Sills’ understudy in Mack and Mabel.  Other credits include both The Rum Tum Tugger and Munkustrap in the Broadway production of Cats, Terrance Mann’s Romeo and Juliet (Paris), Donny Osmond’s oldest brother, Rueben, in the national tour of Joseph, and the Tommy Tune/Jeff Calhoun musical Busker Alley (Charley Youngblood).  Film/TV: HBO’s The Soprano’s, and dying four horrible deaths in Michael Bay’s Pearl Harbor.  BFA Boston Conservatory.  For Grandma and Grandpa.

BILL SZOBODY (Ensemble/Understudy Gus)

Bill Szobody was last seen in REPRISE!’s production of  Strike Up The Band.  Bill was in the original Broadway cast of Cabaret, Parade and Dream.  And, is on the cast album of Cabaret and PARADE.  Bill also performed at the Ahmanson Theatre in Martin Guerre.  Television credits include Mad TV, The David Letterman Show, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, Life Goes On and Hull High.  He has been in numerous live industrial shows for companies including State Farm, Disney, and Toyota.  Currently Bill is teaching and choreographing for the musical theatre workshop, here at UCLA.

RUTH WILLIAMSON (Lady Phyllis Beekman)

appeared last season with REPRISE! in Strike Up The Band.  Broadway credits include the recent revival of The Music Man as Eulalie (Outer Critics Nomination), Epic Proportions (FANY Award), Little Me with Martin Short, Guys And Dolls with Nathan Lane, Marvin Hamlisch's Smile, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 and the original Annie, followed by a tour as Miss Hannigan.  She earned a Drama Desk Nomination for Charles Busch's The Green Heart (Manhattan Theatre Club) and has appeared with the playwright in his productions of Queen Amarantha and You Should Be So Lucky (Barrymore Nomination).  Also, in New York:  Dubarry Was A Lady (ENCORES!), The Good Times Are Killing Me (Second Stage), The English Teachers (M.C.C).  Regionally: Mame (Sacramento Music Circus), No Way To Treat A Lady (Coconut Grove; Carbonell Nomination), Candide (Huntington), Merrily We Roll Along (Arena Stage) and various roles at Long Wharf Theatre, O'Neill Conference, Bay Street Theatre, Papermill Playhouse and Goodspeed.  Featured Film Roles:  The Family Man with Nicholas Cage, Malcolm X, Foreign Student, Psycho Beach Party, Double Parked and Italian Movie.  Recent TV guest appearances include ER, Law & Order, Wonderland and Chestnut Hill (2001 NBC pilot) with Tom Skerritt.

GREG ZERKLE (Josephus Gage)

makes his REPRISE! debut with Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.  LA audiences have seen him as Fonzie's Dad in the presentation of Happy Days the Musical, directed by Garry Marshall, Mr Snow for the CLO of South Bay Cities and in the Robby Award winning Lies & Legends for Ventura's Rubicon Theatre.  Television appearances include: ER, Frasier, Ally McBeal, Law & Order, Judging Amy, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Diagnosis Murder, That's My Bush!, and Grounded for Life.  He also provided voices for the animated series Astroboy.  Broadway: Grand Hotel opposite Cyd Charisse, A Christmas Carol with Tony Randall, Into The Woods as Cinderella’s Prince and the Wolf, Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden, and the pre-Broadway version of Kiss of the Spider Woman.  National Tour: Enjolras in Les Miserables, Mssr. Andre in Phantom of the Opera and Ravenal in ShowBoat.  Greg also directs, most recently for CLOSBC and Bakersfield Music Theatre.  He created two musicals for kids which premiered at Merkin Hall in New York and has been involved with many new projects including the development of The Scarlet Pimpernel.  Mr. Zerkle holds an MFA from the U of Washington-Seattle under Robert Hobbs.  Thanks to CAM for her constant love and support.
