SHOSHANA BEAN

Shoshana recently starred opposite Holly Madison in the Vegas burlesque spectacular Peepshow. She played Elphaba in Broadway and touring productions of Wicked, was in the original cast of the Tony winning musical Hairspray, and the off-Broadway revival of Godspell. She sang back-up at Michael Jackson's 30th Anniversary celebration at Madison Square Garden and shared the stage with Grammy nominee Brian McKnight at the Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards to honor Aretha Franklin.  She has lent her voice to the films Enchanted, Hairspray, and Dance Flick. As a singer/songwriter, her work has been featured on The Hills and NBC and her debut solo album, “Superhero,” is now available on itunes, amazon.com, and cdbaby.com.

BRYAN TERRELL CLARK

Bryan has recently worked with producer giant David Foster on various projects, including Michael Buble's upcoming release. He has also worked with various RnB and Pop artists for the BET Awards for the last 3 years. Theatre credits include: Pippin (Mark Taper Forum), Once On This Island (Reprise), Sophisticated Ladies, and Billy Porter's Being Alive, Fences (Pasadena Playhouse) opposite Laurence Fishburne and Angela Bassett. His Girl Friday  at the Guthrie Theatre; Midsummer Night’s Dream, King Lear, The King Stag, and numerous other shows at the Yale Rep. Television: The Unit, CSI: NY, and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Bryan is a Graduate of the Yale School of Drama.

NATHAN LEE GRAHAM

The ubiquitous presence of Nathan Lee Graham. Hit films like Zoolander, Sweet Home Alabama, and Hitch. Critically-acclaimed series like The Comeback, Absolutely Fabulous, and Scrubs. Tony and Grammy nominated Original Broadway cast The Wild Party (LADCC Award for Best Featured Performer in a Musical and Ovation nom.) Drama League and Obie nominated Wig Out. Other credits include: Grammy award-winning classical recording 2005 William Bolcom's Songs of Innocence and of Experience, first national tours of Jesus Christ Superstar and Showboat, and regional theatre and commercials. VANITA HARBOUR

Vanita is so honored to be a part of the Richard Rodgers celebration. Vanita holds a degree in musical theatre from Carnegie Mellon University. She made her Broadway debut in Once on This Island and continued her role in the national tour for which she received a nomination for a Helen Hayes Award.  Last season she had the special treat of performing in Reprise's production of Island. Some of her stage credits include: Dreamgirls, Blues In The Night, Nomathemba, and Billy Porter’s Being Alive. Vanita had long-running roles on One Life To Live and General Hospital. LEDISI

Singer/songwriter Ledisi (rhymes with legacy) is an all-natural wonder who wows and astounds wherever she goes. She played a pivotal role with inspired characters and musical transitions during the composing of music for Oprah Winfrey's Tony-winning stage adaptation of The Color Purple. She understudied Tony Kushner/George C. Wolfe's Off-Broadway production Caroline, or Change. In 2007, Ledisi received two Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best R&B Album, made her film debut in George Clooney’s Leatherheads, and performed in Reprise Theatre Company’s Once On This Island. LESLIE ODOM, JR.

Television: Grey's AnatomyCSI: Miami, Vanished, Big Day, Threshold, Gilmore Girls, Close to Home, The Big House, The Bill Engvall Show, and Supreme Courtships. Selected theatre credits include Rent (Broadway), Jersey Boys (La Jolla Playhouse), the world premiere Stephen Sondheim revue Being Aliveand Once on This Island (Reprise). He graduated with Honors from Carnegie Mellon University's esteemed School of Drama and is a Princess Grace Award winner for Acting. He recently wrapped production in Europe on the George Lucas produced WWII film Red Tails. The cast features Terrance Howard, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Nate Parker, and R&B singer Ne-Yo, to name a few, and has a planned release of early 2010.

 

BILLY PORTER

Billy has had a varied career: Broadway performer, Star Search winner, recording artist, writer, and director. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama and the Professional Screenwriting program at UCLA, Porter’s Broadway credits include Smokey Joe’s Café, Miss Saigon, Five Guys Named Moe and Grease. Off-Broadway and regional credits include: Romance In Hard Times, The Merchant of Venice, House of Lear, Radiant Baby, Jason Robert Brown’s Songs For A New World, Adam Guettel’s Myths & Hymns, Angels in America, Going Native, Top Dog/Underdog, Jelly’s Last Jam, Jesus Christ Superstar, Antigone, A Chorus Line and Chicago. Directing credits include: Company and Letters from Nam for CMU, Once on This Island for Reprise, Twilight in Manchego at NYMFT, Signed, Sealed, Delivered at The Venetian Hotel in Vegas, and Being Alive, which he conceived and directed for The Westport Country Playhouse and The Philadelphia Theatre Company. He is currently Artistic Director of Upright Cabaret.

KEN ROBINSON

A native of Oakland, California, Ken is proud of be making his Reprise Theatre Company debut with Soul of Rodgers. In May 2009, Ken graduated with his MFA in Acting from the Yale School of Drama.His regional credits include Being Alive and tick, tick… BOOM! at the Westport Country Playhouse; Jelly’s Last Jam and A Christmas Carol at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre; and Ain’t Misbehavin’ at the North Shore Music Theatre. 

NITA WHITAKER

Classically trained, though she began singing in her Louisiana church, Nita Whitaker has a unique style that blends pop, gospel, soul, and classical training into what she calls "soulful pop”. Theatre credits include: Ragtime (Sarah u/s), Me and Mrs. Jones (Lead Mrs. Jones, Philadelphia), Sweeney Todd (Joanna u/s, Reprise), A New Brain (Homeless Woman, Reprise), and Ten Commandments (Lead Zipporah, opposite Val Kilmer). She sang duets with Andrea Bocelli and jammed with jazz trumpeter Chris Botti. Nita has recorded 3 independent CDs and recently performed with the Belle Canto Symphony singing highlights from Porgy and Bess.
